Influenced by popular Indian street snacks such as Pakora and Bhaji’s brought to Jamaica by Indian settlers. The Jamaican Fritter comes in many flavours and variations including: Vegetable, Saltfish and Chicken just to name a few! Fritters combine Asian spices with Jamaican ingredients to create a mouth-watering, aromatic, full-bodied flavoursome experience.

Indo-Caribbean herbs and spices are blended with flour, baking powder and water to create an airy aromatic batter. An array of Vegetables and Jamaican Scotch Bonnet Chilli Peppers are added before pan frying to create a crispy outer shell with a fluffy batter inside!

This tasty snack can be enjoyed all day long, from breakfast to lunch and dinner! Served alongside your favourite Jamaican Street Food dishes or enjoyed on its own, we know you’ll love this one as much as we do!

  • Turmeric – 1tsp
  • Paprika – 1tsp
  • Cold Water – 450ml
  • Baking Powder – ½ tsp
  • Plain Flour – 4 Cups (256g)
  • Onion – 1 (Diced)
  • Sweet Peppers – 3 (Diced)
  • Tomato – 1 small (Diced)
  • Fresh Thyme – 1 sprig
  • Chopped Garlic – 2 cloves
  • Scotch Bonnet – To Preference (Careful, it’s spicy!)
  • Spring Onions – 2 (Chopped)
  • Pinch of Salt
  • Pinch of Pepper
